Notable venues that Hot Brass: Earth, Wind, and Fire Tribute Band have performed at include the Broken Sound Country Club, Boca West Country Club, The Colony Palm Beach, Arts Garage Delray Beach, Boca Black Box Theater, Wellington Amphitheater, Mar-A-Lago, South Florida Ritz Carltons, The Breaker’s Resort, The Biltmore Hotel and the list goes on to reflect a varied and successful career.
Not confined to South Florida, Debbie Pierce and other members of Hot Brass have performed all over the eastern United States and Caribbean: from the Berkshires, New York City, Cape Cod and Houston, TX to Marsh Harbor, Bahamas and Panama City, Panama.
The Front Line:
Darren Austin is in high demand as one of the premier male vocalist/entertainers in the area. His rich, soulful voice and captivating stage presence keep audiences mesmerized. He has recorded and performed with national acts such as Jon Secada, Gloria Estefan and Patty Labelle. Beautiful Misty Holke is a stellar performer of the highest quality. Her ability to connect and move people with her voice is evident by the overwhelming audience response.
The Rhythm Section:
Guiseppe Pucci has rocked the drum chair since the beginning of the band many years ago, born in Italy, he comes to Florida directly from a stellar performing career in NYC. Nicky Orta is one of the finest bassist in the country. A music professor at U of M, he has performed all over the world with national acts, including Julio Iglesias and Gloria Estefan. Guitarist/vocalist Phil Fest is not only a guitar whiz, but also a successful Brazilian recording artist. Keyboardist and singer Hal Roland performs at exclusive local venues and has established an innovative virtual piano bar online. He is also an on-air radio personality at WDNA.
The Brass Section:
Leader Debbie Pierce performs on sax, flute and vocals. She is a multi-instrumentalist-Sax/Vocal/Flute- who has been performing in South Florida for over 20 years. A South Florida native, Debbie started her musical life studying piano at the age of 7 and eventually received her Bachelors in Fine Arts degree from Florida Atlantic University. An early interest in jazz and classical music, the influence of Latin music absorbed from her life in South Florida, as well as an infatuation with hard core funk, has led to an extremely varied and eclectic musical vision. Hot sax and cool vocals! A professional musician by the age of 16, she has shared the stage with such performers as The Drifters, Doc Sevirensen, Robert Goulet, Nancy Wilson, Benny Mardones and Eddie Money. Trumpeter Doug Michels is a world class musician and plays regularly with Gloria Estefan, KC and the Sunshine Band and many Broadway touring companies. Waldron Dunkley is probably one of the very few Reggae trombone and tuba players. The youngest member of the group, he is at the start of his career after studying at FSU.
